Is this legal to use in Australia?
Yes. DOSnet hubs operate on the AU915 ISM band, license-free under ACMA regulations. No permit or registration needed.

Does it need phone signal or a SIM card?
No. DOSnet creates its own private mesh network between hubs and doesn't touch the telco network at all.

How long does the battery last on a weekend trip?
3–4 days of typical use on a full charge. Recharges from any USB-C source.
